what a dreadful victory. the first half, fulham played terrible. poor passing, a lot of long balls, poor defending, no challenging for 50/50s. of course, then they steal a goal about a minute before half time. mcbride was probably the only one doing anything. diop has looked pathetic in these last two matches. simon elliot too. i don’t know if they just aren’t fully back from injury or what. the only players on the pitch that i would keep are mcbride, boa morte and malbranque. the rest are useless.
radzinski subbed in and it was worse than playing down a man. he made a poor challenge and got booked. someone from behind me yelled, “give him a red”. he was that bad. i’m not quite sure, but just after radzinski came on mcbride was talking to chris coleman and i would swear he was asking him if that was all the subs he was going to make. the expression on mcbride’s face indicated that he was not happy with the first choice. however, phillipe christanval came on a bit later and looked pretty good. he was at barcelona at one time. he might be desent. i think he has been injured too.
bottom line, fulham was lucky to get 3 points and secure themselves from relegation. i think this may have been my last premier league match. there’s only 2 more weekends left in the season. the big chelsea v manchester united match is this weekend. i suppose i could go to the sunderland replay and ride the coaches. i would get to see “the stadium of light”. there is only 2 away matches left for fulham to actually get an away win.
here’s the one not completely crap photo.
Agree. Malbranque and McHead looked good. Did you notice C. Coleman acting very nervously the whole match? Every time they showed he was wild-eyed and frantically chewing his gum.
I’m guessing you got this ticket from an “official” vendor and not a scalper since it has your name printed on the ticket.
So, what are you going to do once the EPL season wraps up? Are the other leagues still in session? Going to go to some other countries? Just chill in London?
there’s the keane testimonial on the 8th. there’s a england legends v rest of the world charity thing at old trafford on the 28th. i don’t think it would be that great though. robbie williams will be one of the captains.
i can stay at the current place until i think july 4th if i wanted. i still have to sort out going to amsterdam. i suppose i could do something unusual and not procrastinate. i think i’m going to try and take the dutch flyer to amsterdam and then a train from amsterdam to germany. that’s about as far as i’ve gotten.
