i took these pictures yesterday, maybe the day before, but didn’t get around to posting them. most of them are from the small bit i walked down the regents canal on the west side of the islington tunnel. it would be interesting to be able to ride through the tunnel. very tight fit. it doesn’t have a horse path either (narrow boats were at one point pulled by horses). to get through the tunnel, 2 men had to sit on either side of the bow and walk the boat through on the roof of the tunnel. apparently, getting a private mooring is a niche fad in islington and london since it’s drastically cheaper than getting a real flat. i guess it’s sort of like a trailer park on the water. however, most of the boats look pretty nice.
also, here’s 2 pictures from the front of the flat. my room is the top one on the left with the curtains closed. it’s interesting to note the butcher shop, green grocer and fish monger all in a row. plus of course the pub on the end. it would be a little more useful if i actually cooked.
