i have nothing to say

i don’t really have anything going on right now. there’s no way i’m going to the manu v arsenal game this weekend. that would have been fantastic. oh well, i guess i’ll have to settle going to a pub. i have to remember to try and get there about 30-45 minute early so that i can get somewhere to sit. for the arsenal v juventus match they were all packed. plus i wanted to eat so i wasn’t going to stand around.

yesterday, i walked a long way down regent’s canal. this google map shows the two end points, basically. the canal is the thin blue line. i lucked up finding the mile end station by randomly coming up from the canal. unfortunately, i didn’t take my camera for the first time the whole trip. there were a lot of narrow boats. i actually ended up walking by one of the other places i had looked at, but not considered. there’s a long tunnel right where i started, about 2 blocks from angel station. the other side somewhere is something called little venice so i’m going to have to walk that direction at some point. unfortunately, you can’t walk through the tunnel. it’s fairly narrow so the boats must just barely fit through.

i went to the apple store again today to get some new ear phones, but i couldn’t decide on any. something to keep in mind, if you’re ever in a city with an apple store you can go there for free internet access. that seems to be what a lot of people are doing. i guess it’s a decent way to get people in there to use the machines. i’m going to have to do some research. i’ll probably end up with the alternative apple model since they’re only p25 and the cheapest.

i got 2 used dvds today. there’s this great cd, dvd, vinyl store a couple of blocks away. one is the previously mentioned “the football factory” and the other is “fever pitch” (the real one). sure, i’ve already seen “fever pitch”, but it was only p6 (which i have to keep reminding myself is $10). cheaper than it is on amazon and pal dvds are higher resolution than ntsc. i’m glad i didn’t buy “the football factory” new when i first saw it. i need to remember to see if they have “green street hooligans” or whatever it’s called. i think this one is a similar sort of story and i’ll bet it’s better.

since robert asked, i’ll have to take some pictures of the new flat tomorrow and some of the surrounding area. it’s nice. the strip with shops and what not is not completely redundant like every other similar area of london seems to be. a lot more variance in the height of buildings and architecture.

tomorrow night i’m going to watch this midweek amateur league match. apparently, they play on fieldturf. should be an interesting comparison. i’m also going to try and make it to the london linux users group meeting on wednesday. it appears to be a casual drinking sort of thing and not a presentation. i can only assume that there will be t.v.’s on at the place since it overlaps the juventus v arsenal 2nd leg. i may have to abandon it if not.
mom, you should stop reading at this point. i’m sure saying that really isn’t going to stop you, but you’ve been warned. it’s not illegal or anything, but i’m sure you’ll find it even less interesting than football and prefer not to know. should have had 2 blogs. you can apparently password protect a post, but i’m not sure what that does. although, now people will be disappointed from the buildup because it really isn’t that interesting.

so, i went in this adult licensed store today. i was trying to find a used book shop and it came up in the list on google maps and was near the other options. according to the website, jenna jameson is supposed to be in-store at some point in the future. they, of course, say to see a store for when. i didn’t see anything about it and forgot to ask. it really wasn’t very interesting. they did actually have a movie called “snatch of the day”, an obvious play on “match of the day” with a football theme. i guess there are probably american football and baseball themed pornos in the states. what kind of plot could there really have been for 10 minutes? i had to resist the temptation to buy it, but it wasn’t that hard since i’m sure it’s junk and it was p20. there must be an endless supply of women who will be in pornos. a surprising number fairly attractive.

i still have to go back to brewer street, the “red light district”, at some point. i stumbled across it one day when wandering around. you take a few steps off regent street or piccadilly circus and you never know what you’ll find. i’m sure it’s nothing like amsterdam. i’m not really a strip club kind of guy so it probably won’t be very interesting stories. not that i would post those if there were. i’ve never really understood what you were supposed to get out of a strip club anyway? is it more for married people?

speaking of sex, i had told the girl that i’m renting the room from that she could leave her books out. i figured there might be something interesting to read. unfortunately, half of them are in french which doesn’t really do me any good. anyway, someone apparently gave her this book called “encyclopedia of unusual sex practices“. there’s some interesting stuff in it. it apparently came out in 1992 so some stuff is a bit outdated. sororate should probably be mainstream. seems fair.

i guess diaries are more interesting since nobody plans on someone reading them until it’s a 100 years later and they’re dead. “so, i was having sex with my slave last night…”. of course, then people probably blather on about their “feelings” a lot more.

i forgot to mention that sven goren erikson (sp?) and martin o’neill were at the fulham game saturday. it was odd because when the teams were walking out at the beginning of the match almost all of the photographers were pointing their cameras up in the stands. i need to be a sports photographer. do you just make money selling your pictures to magazines and websites or do you work directly for a specific one? do they supply transport to the games?

it appears everyone in england is now pulling for manchester united to overtake chelsea for the premier league title since they’re now only 7 games back. we can only hope.

it seems like the posts when i don’t really have anything to say are always longer and no pictures. that should probably be a tip off to stop reading.

You’re going to have to get Jenna’s autograph.

Not sororate-levirate related but a guy here in the office married the wife of his ex-wife’s lover (affair), and, of course the ex-wife married her lover. They swapped.

Down in the tropics we call it “Swingers Revenge”.
