and the days roll on…

i went to fulham ticket office today and got tickets for both fulham v portsmouth and fulham v wigan. i think they both should be good matches. i should have great seats in the riverside stand which is on the side where the players and coaches are. it’s also where abromovich was sitting. i forgot to mention that he was at the game yesterday. he walked out from the same place the players did so i was probably about 15 yards from him. i guess that’s the closest i’ve ever been to a billionaire.

on the way back to the tube, i past a shop i think mom will like called “old hat: classic and vintage clothes”. it’s not like your typical american vintage clothes store that only has 60’s and 70’s stuff. this is old time english suits and hats and what not. i think if they come to england my dad will end up with a new wardrobe.

i haven’t found a copy of it yet, but i heard a remix of “sunshine of your love” while eating lunch today. it was pretty good. it’s by some djs named the hoxtons, formally hoxton whores. it apparently came out last november and was authorized by eric clapton.

everything seems lined up for going to stratford-upon-avon tomorrow. i’m supposed to meet the lady to get the key around 15:45. i’m taking the train. it’ll be weird not staying in this hotel anymore. i’ve gotten used to it since i’ve been here for 18 days now. hard to believe it’s already been 3 weeks. poor games-per-day average though. it will be good to relax in stratford for 6 days since i’m kind of tired from the busy weekend.

i’m about to go to meet up with the soon to be new flatmates for a bit. afterwards, i will be going over to julie’s friend magnus’ to watch the man city v west ham f.a. cup match.

i’ll probably post something tonight, but if the line goes dead it’s because i can’t find any internet access in stratford-upon-avon. how would shakespeare of possibly gotten by without internet access?

Great blog – I’m looking forward to reading about the rest of your travels!

Let me know if you come to Amsterdam – I think we may have a mutual friend.

what do you mean peter. i will be in stratford by myself.

sara, my tentative plan is to maybe hit amsterdam the week before the world cup. i’m guessing from your blog that greg from dino is your friend.

  4. Peter says:

You said you were going to meet up with the new flatmates. Where will you be having new flatmates?

  5. Sara says:

I don’t get the dino reference, but Joel said you two used to play soccer together.

We’ll gladly be your tour guides when you come!

  6. Peter says:

Dinos is the name of the team they/we played on.

the flatmates will be for the 2 months when i get back to london on the 27th.

i don’t have any internet access and at the apparently only internet cafe in stratford-upon-avon, my laptop wouldn’t get an ip address from dhcp. go figure. the guy claimed some crap about having problems with laptops from other countries. that makes no sense what so ever, but whatever.

i can’t post to the blog because i don’t actually know the password. plus i don’t trust public terminals. i also can’t check my regular e-mail since i don’t know what my password is because i never use it.

hopefully, i can figure something out soon.
