movies 2006-03-16

while i was waiting for the ticket guy at picadilly circus, i went into the virgin megastore. a couple of dvd releases that were on sale that looked interesting. i did buy any. they were about $14 a piece. they had “long way round” out. it’s on netflix now. i caught a couple of the episodes when it was airing on bravo. good stuff.

also available on netflix, is “9 songs”. odd that the big claim on the box is “the most explicit british movie to ever get an 18 rating”. i think that’s the same as an “r” rating. doesn’t really seem like what you want for your claim to fame.

not on netflix, 2 dvds of live performances by ricky gervais. i may have to pick those up at some point. i still need to look into tickets for him at royal albert hall.

not surprisingly, most of the available dvds are american movies and television.
