this is just a quick note that i’m still alive. i had to temporarily switch rooms at the hotel and have now switched into yet a 3rd room next door to the first one. i couldn’t get any free wireless access from the last room, whence no posts. i do have access from this new room (even smaller than the first one if you can believe that, i’ll post pictures) so i’ll be trying to fill in all the gaps tonight over the past couple of days, including going up to highbury for the arsenal vs real madrid game. i didn’t actually go in since the tickets were starting at £250. although, it may have been worth it.
maybe you are gonna have to drop down a division to see your first game. Here are some choices of other London teams:
-Crystal Palace
- Queens Park Rangers
- Watford
- Brentford
- Luton Town
- Millwall
- Wycombe Wanderers
- Barnet
- Leyton Orient
£250? Duh-hamn! Good to hear you’re still alive and haven’t succumbed to some weird alien ear bug.
i just noticed in the paper when i was out doing laundry that watford is playing reading tomorrow. i think that’s going to be my target. the only other games in london this weekend are at stamford bridge (derby, it’s at 12:45 so i can check it out first since i know how to get there) and highbury on sunday (another good one).
btw, i got “goal!” and “revolver” (guy ritchie) dvds the other day. i watched “goal!” last night. decent. i’ll actually post later.
So who are these people that are paying ~ 434 USD to watch these games. Or is that just the last minute price?
So Netflix is delivering to SW6 now? How did you “get” the DVD’s?
I believe QPR is probably the closest ground to you, but yeah I’d hit that Reading game. Hope you can get in to see Arsenal-Juventus. It’s at the end of March. Go Barca !!!!
$434 is from a scalper. if you could get them in advance i think the good seats were still in the $100-$150 range.
re: dvds, i bought them. netflix doesn’t have them.
i hope barca gets through to play arsenal.
